The Viper 13 is comfortable and lightweight, with a ventilated spacer mesh back panel that comes in a longish torso size customized for a man's body type. The pack's built-in BioStretch harness and detachable webbing hipbelt, meanwhile, help distribute weight evenly across your frame. As a result, the pack won't weigh you down even as the miles stretch into the dozens. The harness includes a built-in magnet for quick bite-valve attachment, while the hipbelt offers a straight ErgoPull closure to ensure a secure fit.
To guarantee hydration while on the trail, the pack comes with a 3-liter Nalgene engineered HydraForm reservoir that fits inside a dedicated HydraLock hydration compartment. The HydraForm reservoir is simple to remove, clean, and fill, with a rigid handle and large-mouth cap. Cyclists will also love the Viper 13's variety of bike-specific features. The LidLock clip system, for instance, makes it a breeze to attach a bike helmet to the Viper 13, so you don't have to waste space inside the pack. Plus, the pack offers several dedicated compartments perfect for carrying pumps, bike tools, or general items. The choices include a large main compartment with front panel access; internal sleeve pockets to keep tools and spare parts organized; a front stretch mesh pocket for quick-access items; a stretch mesh pocket on the shoulder strap for securing a cell phone or MP3 player; and a top zippered pocket lined with a soft, easy-to-clean heat-embossed fabric (ideal for sunglasses or electronics).
